Absolutely. The people who refuse to accept it are just showing their ignorance. They clearly know nothing about what makes a great rock band, and it's pointless to try explaining it to them. Most of the people who answered this question before me are so wrapped up in acting "Cool," that they're making themselves look musically challenged to those of us who actually DO know about great music.

Def Leppard is brilliant, and simply THE most influential band to come out of the 80s. If anyone thinks Bon Jovi would have had any success, if Def Leppard hadn't come first, they're sadly mistaken. And if anyone thinks Nirvana would have been as huge as they were, without the thousands of bands trying to BE Def Leppard, they're also wrong.

My advice to these....I'll just stick with "Musically challenged,"....is to pick up a copy of the "Slang," album.

Anyone who doesn't respect Def Leppard's place in music....clearly knows nothing about music.

GREAT BAND! best selling hard rock band since Zeppelin, too bad pyromania and hysteria had to go up against Michael Jackson on the charts. face it, most every hard rock band in the 80's tried to rip off their sound. Unfortunately they lost it when Steve Clark died because he wrote most of their good songs. I saw them twice this fall with journey and Joe sounded as good as always. I am dissapointed that Viv Cambell hasn't contributed more to the band because he's a MUCH better guitarist than he's ever displayed with Leppard. Note to Leppard...call Mutt!

No, not somewhat unusual or coincidental. i'm particular that once you're both acquaintances, you've countless the same likes and dislikes. Now in case you've been 22 and 32, which will be much better staggering, besides the actual incontrovertible fact that honestly not not accessible.
