It all depends on what kind of rock music you like. I listen to all kinds of Christian rock, so here's a list for you.

Third Day isn't too heavy, and has kind of a Southern rock feel to it. Sort of like a Christian Lynyrd Skynyrd.

Kutless and Switchfoot are both pretty good, and just have a typical rock feel to them. Kutless is a tad heavier than Switchfoot, but neither one is all that hard.

If you like a more pop-style rock and roll, I would recommend Krystal Meyers and Reliant K. I don't really care for either, but that's just me. Stryper is kind of old school, but they kind of have a power pop thing going on too. The David Crowder Band has a rock-techno-pop thing going on, and isn't really all that bad.

As far as heavier stuff goes, there are quite a few. I've heard that Emery and Flyleaf are a bit harder in their style, but I'm not sure on that. Underoath, Disciple, Oratorio (from Sweden but still good), and Fireflight are all ones that I'm sure of though. Anberlin isn't too hard on their CDs, but they go pretty heavy at their concerts.

Narnia, Impelliterri, and Balance of Power are all pretty old, but they play some good '80s Christian metal. Really melodic, heavy on guitar solos, and that sort of thing. The closest thing to compare these guys to would probably be AC/DC.

POD is kind of a rap/rock band, and I couldn't really think of anything else like them. They get their own category. A few others that would be hard to categorize would be Newsboys, which is kind of light rock/worship, and The Violet Burning, which is kind of emo on their newer CDs, but really heavy on the slow synth sound on some of their older stuff. Tait is kind of the same as Newsboys, although I don't listen to them that much. The OC Supertones broke up a while ago, but they had a horn-rock band if you can find a used CD of them somewhere.

I've pretty much exhausted my knowledge of Christian rock, and I hope you at least get one or two bands that you like out of it. I like most of them, and the few that I don't like aren't my style. I'm sure that there all good bands appreciated by someone. Hope you find something good!

Hmmm......it's wierd mixing God and Rock and Roll together. I prefer you listen to Bon Jovi's "The next 100 years"

Please, God and this worldly system of things are not running parallel to each other.
