When I looked I ended up with two completely different figures. For the Fall semester of '06 it said the total tuition cost was around 10,000. But when I look for the Fall semester of '07 (which is when I first start there) it says the total tuition cost is 17,000. How could the price jump 7,000 in one year? And is that even the right cost? I'm so confused and I really need some help.

If anyone knows and can inform me then I will be really grateful.

Thank you

My little spies tell me that for this 2007-08 academic year, the annual undergraduate tuition (along with a couple hundred in mandatory fees) was:

In-State Tuition: $5,622
Out-State Tuition: $17,188

This is straight from the UTennessee website. I also believe that TN drastically increased out-of-state rates to better cover higher education costs last year (but I'm not absolutely sure).

The tuition usually rises every year. I'm not sure what the tuition is, but I've heard it's gone up like 90% in the past 10 years.
