can someone solve 4x^2-8=0

i will use your anwser as a guide for the rest of my homework questions...thanks!

First add 8 to both sides so you get 4x^2 = 8.
Divide both sides by 4. x^2 = 2
x = the square root of 2

One caveat - Amber's answer should have been "plus or minus the square root of two".
