To make it short, 2 weeks before my periods I am a b****. I cry at everything, I no longer have patience, and I feel like stomping my boyfriends head in at times(6 years together). This goes until like 4 days into my period. What is this? Is this PMS? Any things I can do to make it so these 3 weeks aren't such hell? Help please.

ask your doctor for a mild sedative to calm you through the phase. Or my personal favorite, smack the boyfriend till he buys me jewelery....lol

This sounds more like PMDD than PMS. I had PMDD, with very similar symptoms to yours, and went on Zoloft for it. It made a world of difference! I didn't feel like Jekyl and Hyde anymore.

It could also be that you're on a triphasic birth control pill. The hormone shifts that occur with them can wreak havoc! If you're on a triphasic pill, see if you can switch to a monophasic pill.

See your ob/gyn! They hear about this stuff all the time and can help you figure out what's going on and what to do about it.
