He is soft spoken and very proper in the way he addresses people. He does not care about style or music much and is very into learning and books. Would he be average in central london where he is from, or unusual?

Every Londoner can be different ..its different in each individual character and hobby... My bf is a Brit, he is very polite when he talks to ppl. and he read books a lot too. But few other Brits guyfriends and girlfriends that i have all are different. Most of them are does polite w ppl, thats their nice characteristics..but not all of them do a lot of reading or learning. Two of my gf's are party people& doesnt really likes reading and all of them cares about what kind of music do they like

Very unusual, although that does depend on his age. If he is over 40, I guess that would be so, but Londoners have that Cockney wit and are usually loud and great fun to be with
