If I was buying a house in the UK i would want to see it 1st.
Go back to the UK view houses and then get a mortgage. as long as you can prove your salary you should be OK.
I take it you would be letting it out so I would get a good company with local knowledge to do that for you.

Do a Google search for estate agents in that area,then email them what you want,they will send details,and arrange a solicitor,etc.You can also log on to www.rightmove.co.uk,and search in your chosen area.Each property shown will have a link to the estate agent concerned.
