I'll just go ahead and assume the info on the c drive was a typo
in any case, take a look at what you got running at startup.
go to run and type msconfig
under the startup tab you'll see everything that launches with windows.
(most programs tend to start themselves when you log into windows as default) If you have a lot running at startup it'll take time and resources to get them all going.
Most of what you see listed can be safely removed from startup. It's hard to advise someone unfamiliar with basic system functions so I won't tell you to uncheck all of it. At the least you should quite a number of obvious programs that don't need to run all the time.

8 GB is a tremendously honest quantity of RAM. as a result, i think of your concern must be the classes and approaches that run till now and by way of the booting-up degree of your pc. there is too many classes and approaches which attempt to start, to that end slowing down your pc. I advise getting the loose pc cleansing software called CCleaner, which has a function to regulate the classes that open up upon initiate-up of your pc. once you open up CCleaner, it may well be under the "kit" tab. i wish this could help. otherwise, you ought to to purpose to run something called a Disk Defragmenter, that's a software that relatively reorganized the failings on your pc so data, folders and such are optimized in a thank you to make your pc run greater fluidly and swifter. A disk defragmenter is supplied into all computers with abode windows Vista and up. you purely ought to sort into the quest bar that's located interior the commencing up Menu (interior the decrease left-hand corner of the exhibit screen) the words "Disk Defrag" and the "Disk Defragmenter" ought to arise as a seek effect... yet do no longer press enter after typing interior the quest because of the fact the "enter" or "return" button will immediately open up the 1st effect. rather, purely sort interior the quest and don't something. the outcomes will immediately pop up and initiate performing interior the commencing up menu. good success with rushing up your pc! in case you have a Staples keep on your section, they do furnish loose pc song-united statesevery month or 2, so which you're able to have them verify it out. you purely ought to go away it at Staples for type of two or 3 days for it to be wiped sparkling and speeded up.

Fifth, if you want to get it running as fast as it can go you might need to run a system restore or maybe jus run your restore cd-rom. If you do not have the restore cd-rom look on the menu of software programs to see if you need to make a copy of your restore software disk. Be sure to back-up all you important files and photos before you run the software restore.
Sixth, if you do not want to run the restore you need to check to see if you have a virus so go to
http://www.symantec.com/home_homeoffice/security_response/index.jsp
and look for the free virus check under "Security Check Button".

Ok why are they reversed?
Drive C should be the larger one, the smaller drive is always a small normally 8mb drive partitioned off the primary drive which gives it a secondary drive letter.
First i'd check into that.
however if you could give me some specs i could help a bit more.
Like cpu speed, memory, etc.

How much ram? how many mgh chip? You probably have too many things running on start up. go to my computer, click 'run'. type msconfig and hit enter. click on the "start up" tab and see what is clicked. if you see many check marks you have too many things starting when the computer starts. uncheck a bunch and it will go quicker. but if you uncheck the wrong thing, your computer won't start right so be careful of what you uncheck. you can look up what everything is before you uncheck it.

Clean out the computer. Go programs>All programs>accesories>system tool and try disk defragmenter (or if you can do that manually), or disk cleanup. Try to delete extra programs, or just buy more memory.
