awesome! saddam was good for something, point 4999 and point 5000. i made it thanks to saddam! other than this, he's a pile of bones rotting in a plywood coffin somewhere in a barren wasteland in northern iraq.

Hussein needed to pay for what he did, but I think that killing him wasn't the right answer. After all, it is a human life that they killed. I hope Hussein's followers don't make him a martyr. They should have waited until the USA was out of the country and have the iraquis do wahtever they wanted with him. Besides I could have found more fitting punishments for him than death. After all, he suffered only for about a minute maybe two, and then he was in hell. They should have found something more painful to him than death, and they should have cut all of his hair while they were at it too.

There are many dictators in today's world, and I'm sure most if not all of them deserve to be hung for the things they have done. But I think the death of Saddam is the fullfillment of one man's dream. For some sort of profit that is being hidden from the rest of the world. There are two other dictators now ,that we know have nuclear capabilites yet remain in power to develop weapons!
One day our kids will look back and wonder why we didn't just hang the guy in the white house instead.

I get upset at the people you see on the media talking about the execution was such a disgrace. So there were some derogatory comments made to a man about to die. I wonder what he said to every person (including his own family members he had killed) he killed just before they died.
I'm not one for capital punishment, BUT.... some people in high places seem to be forgetting about thousands of victims and their families.

I don't really know what to think about it. For one part I am glad justice was done for all the people he killed, but for the other part I start to think if Iraq was better with him or as a democracy. Democracy is not always the way to go, especially in countries were the majority of the people are not too educated. I don't know the education level in Iraq's general population, but I have studied that democracies that are not very high in it tend to fail as a nation.

I sleep well at night. While it can't make up for his evilness in the past, it does tell future would-be turds that their shenanigans won't be tolerated.

He's dead. Good. The world is a better place because he is not part of it.
