I totally agree with you, and I'm not saying that to be a suck up. You're totally right because Webber is nearing the end of his career, and like most players they want that championship. And the list of Dallas, Miami, Phoenix, and San Antonio are definitely championship contenders. Also, it is true that he is going to need to be part of a half-court oriented team rather than a fast break team like the Suns. The guy's already 33 and he just doesn't have the stamina he had in Sacramento. So the Suns are out of the question. Also, Dallas already has a good set of PF's and C's, so Dallas doesn't really need Webber. So that really leaves the Heat, Spurs, and Lakers. My opinion is that he should sign with the Spurs because they really don't have a good Center. So by adding Webber he could possibly start at the PF and Duncan can be moved to the C position. The Heat could also use help because they have an aging frontcourt of Shaq and Alonzo. I'm a Lakers for life and he could also be a good fit there since many of their big men are out. Another team could be in Detroit because it's his hometown and they could use Webbers help. But the possibilities are endless, but I'll go ahead and say the Spurs or Pistons.

I heard that Detroit is the front runner for his services. Miami might be a good fit for his abilities, and they need to add depth.
The Lakers haven't made a major mid-season signing (or trade) in the Phil Jackson triangle offense era, so it's not real likely he'll end up there. He doesn't like to bring in players mid season because he feels they won't get up to speed on the offese quickly enough to be able to contribute, so I think LA is unlikely.
I don't think he'd be a good fit in Phoenix. Just don't see how he be able to keep up in that offense.
San Antonio, I think, would prefer to add players that are younger and more athletic, which would not be interested in Webber, and I think that might be the case with Dallas as well.

I would say either miami san antonio or detroit. With the heat he can make the heat a much better team in the front court teaming with shaq and other good defensive players like haslem and zo.
(theres also dwyane wade). for the spurs he can become the starting PF while duncan plays center. If not he can come off the bench while they put fabricio oberto, whose doing well. for the pistons we can team up with rasheed and the other great defensive players. with detroit who has players who can make clutch shots(billups and rasheed) they can have another good decent shooter. you can say hes at least a better shooter than ben wallace was in detroit( free throws as well)

Miami or San antonio beacuse they already have good big men down low and that would give him the opportunity to get wide open looks from the good gaurds on both teams. also not 2 bad of a rebounder and is alot better player than Miami's Udonis Haslem and San Antionos center w/e his name is

As much as I'd like to see him play with the Heat, I believe he'll be wearing silver and black in Texas. The Miami Heat really seem to have no shortage of veteran big men with Shaq, Antoine Walker, Arlonzo Mourning, and Michael Doleac. The Spurs, on the other hand, have Tim Duncan, and that's about it. The Spurs are much younger then the Heat, and although I know how much Pat Riley would love to add another veteran big man on his ball club to fill in for injury, I believe he'll be able to withstain. You are right, the Spurs and the Heat look like good choices for C-Webb, one of my favorite players. I can't imagine C-Webb sprinting down the court with Steve Nash and the Suns.

He is coming to Detroit...the Pistons are not playing well and the bench hasn't been great...he will take the chance to come back home and try to make the people of Michigan forget about the Fab Five/Ed Martin fiasco, and take less money in the process.
