Someone who will restore the integrity that the position deserves. Someone who will command respect from US citizens and others around the world. Someone who is like McCain (not that I would necessarily vote for him), who is a strong personality and (a POW) and can restore the integrity of the position. The jokers sent to election from both parties over the past 2 decades make me sick.

I would like to see someone that gets along well with others & that realizes threatening other countries may not be the best way to get others to cooperate and work with you so diplomacy should be an important factor.
I'd like to see a leader that has at least 8 to 10 years of experience related to politics in some way. This is the kind of minimum experience required for a senior management position and President is definitely a senior management level job. Specifically, I think he or she needs to have a lot of foreign relations experience. I think he will need to have a lot of experience not only with the Iraq situation, but probably also Iran, Syria, North Korea, Africa, and probably several other countries by the time we have a new President. There will not be a lot of time to learn on the job for this President, maybe next time...
I'd like to see an intelligent President, but also one that uses good logical reasoning. I'd like him or her to do their research before deciding on solutions, be able to think of different solutions (or at least willing to listen to others' solutions) and the possible consequences before deciding on the one that they choose.

I do know this is going to get a lot of thumbs down and a lot of B,S, from you libs, but by judging from the strangle hold some have on our nation such as Israel, I think the only thing that can save America is another Hitler, WE ARE BASICALLY IN THE SAME SITUATION AS GERMANY WAS BACK BEFORE THE WAR, they have not got us starved yet but if you go to the grocery store and see how fast the prices are going up , it won't be long,
