I had sex with my husband 2 days after my period went away and then again about 3 days after the last time. Is it possible to get pregnant so close to when you last had your period? Please help!

It is generally 14 days before the first day of your period....eggs stay alive for 2 days and sperm is 7? I think. So if you are trying a few days before and a few days after you will be doing good. If you are really trying though check out the site below for some good advice.

"Your date of ovulation is calculated by subtracting 14 to 16 days from the date of your next period. This is an approximation and may not be exact for every woman. These calculations may not be accurate if your cycle is less than 21 days long or more than 35 days long, or if your menstrual cycle is irregular from month to month. Please consult your doctor for more detailed information. "

have read many times that you can get pregnant at any time in your cycle. Everyone is different. Even read loads of stories about women getting fresh in the middle of a blood-rush and ending up pregnant cause they thought they were safe!

OK - the most common time to ovulate is 14 days, but that doesn't mean everyone is the same - Gee, if everyone was the same the world would be very dull and predictable!

You can get pregnant the first day after your period! Your ovulation cycle begins right after your period, so it is actually easier to get pregnant right after your period. Every woman and her cycle is different though, so if you don't want to get pregnant, use protection, no matter what time of the month it is!

It's always possible. You may ovulate at different times each month... sometimes it might be regular (14 days after your period generally) but it might change dates from time to time... leaving a possibility.

it's possible to get pregnant any time of the month, even during your period. sperm can live for several days and will wait in your tubes for an egg to be released.

Yes, you can get pregnant at anytime. If you don't want to be pregnant I'd use protection all the time - don't take any chances.
