she wasnt the best singer or actress,was a little chubby and wasnt naturally beautiful,plus she started that whole "men prefer blondes" b*llocks.I think perhaps it was cus she was so popular with the men back then cus she was a bit of a hussy that girls aspire to be like her.

She is a cultural icon. There wasn't anyone else like her in her day. Many have tried to copy her, but she's the original. Plus, her story is interesting. She used to be Norma Jean (or "Normal" Jean). If you hold 2 photos side by side of when she was Norma Jean and Marilyn Monroe, she looks like 2 completely different people. I really don't think it had anything to do with the blond hair personally. There are many infamous sex siren brunettes in history too. I think Marilyn was infectious because of her natural charm, charisma, that voice, the smile, the sachet. The whole package.
I also think she's used a lot commercially because glamor has gone down the toilet. We've sort of been in this gypsy gothic thing for a long time, so it's really kitschy to remember Marilyn now.

Geez, I can tell you guys are all young. In this day and age everyone flaunts their sexuality by just showing everything. In the day of Marilyn Monroe sexuality was a suggestion left to your mind to dream about. Marilyn did do some of the first nudes but they were tastefully done. Just the suggestion of what could be. She was just an average person with a fantastic sex appeal. REAL women have curves. She had a vulnerablilty about her men were magnetically drawn to. Women liked her because she was real
Most real men like curves, not bones. She came alive for a camera and by the way, that was not her real voice. She was an actress and that little girl voice attracted men like flies to honey.

Marilyn Monroe is such an iconic figure because she can't change anymore; she is frozen in time. Her beauty, her allure, and her style are what most women agree are timeless. There aren't many "modern" women who can compete with her.

I wouldent toutch her she isent good lookig to me maybee a 6 / 10 . Give me a slim , hot 8.5 + , brunette woman and and a bit of latin will go down nicely as well . Girls assume shes hot because of status etc and think guys like her but i would reject her but im not a blonde fan.
