i have a file in wmv format.this file can be play in computer.if i want to write in a cd and play in tv.i have to change the file format from wmv to mpeg format.this one i don`t know how to change the file format.please help me.how to convert wmv file to mpeg file?

A WMV file format should be able to write to a CD and played in a DVD player. If not, try to find a program that plays files in a defautl format in MPEG and then try to save it. On some computers you can right click (or [Crtl] +Click on a Mac) and simply click convert on the dropdown menu. Sometimes, the converting default is set to the non-sought after format, and you may have to go into preferences to change how you convert the file. THis is the only answer I had. I hope you solve your problem.

If u have a good writing s/w like nero or the necessary codecs installed, then u dont need any of the converters to convert it to mpeg/mpg. just go for the make VideoCD option, add the files, the program will automatically decode it...
