i am applying for job at starbucks tomorrow dont know what to expect on the wage front.

I think they make about $10 or $12 an hour. But when they ask you what you want - or are hoping to get - just tell them you want the going rate.
Remember - whoever speaks first loses. If you say $10.00 and they were planning on paying $11.00 - do you think they'll give you $11.00? Uh, no. Tell them you want the going rate.

San Francisco might be one of those cities with a "living wage" ordinance so the pay will be higher than many other locations. The cost of living is high in SF, so the pay will be higher than just about anywhere else for a Starbucks employee.
Also-- post your question at www.craigslist.org--it's based in SF, you'll hear from people who work at SF Starbucks if you post there.
