This guy asked me to a dance. I'm 17, he's 16, we're in the same grade and school. We talk some, and e-mail a lot. And, I e-d him that he could back out if he wanted and he said that's not an option. Then, I asked him why and he came up with a paragraph of reasons. But, last week, i found out i couldn't go cuz i have to take the ACT the next day. He said it was ok, but now he's acting kinda strange around me. y? Mature answers please.

Obviously you crushed his ego. Even though you have an important test the next day no guy likes rejection. Maybe you should ask him to hang out after you take your test to let him know you are still interested if you are.

He probably thinks that, by telling him that he could back out, you were trying to back out yourself. He might think that the ACT is just a flimsy excuse. If you're worried about him, why not ask him out for another day? I'm sure he'd agree to that.

hes in love with you hes just keeping it on the dl why dont you make it up to him yall females dont know how we feel when a girl turn us down when we do believe in love at first sight what im saying his feeling are very bad hes just not showing it but at the same time you seeing strange things remember boys have stronger feeling than females we dont cry because we re raised to be tuff trust me he loves or likes you alot do something that will make him happy like go out with him buy him something youll feel good to

i think it's because you said he could back out if he wanted to then you backed out (even tho you had a good reason). maybe in some way he feels that you didnt really want to go with him all along
