The best movie I've ever seen is not in theaters, it's Gone With The Wind. However, if you're willing to stay in and rent a DVD, a good flick for the ladies that will require a box of tissues to pass around: Life is Beautiful. But be forewarned it's an Italian movie and I don't know if the DVD has it dubbed in English but it does have English subtitles. Believe it or not, it's a love story.

Hands down the best movie I have ever seen is "Imitation of Life", it's a little deep but well worth it. If you haven't seen it, it's a old movie about a bi-racial girl who's mother is a maid for an actress and her daughter, and the relationships between all for women over the span of about 20 years.

Little Miss Sunshine (currently #227 in IMDb's Top 250)
It isn't the best film ever, but for a girls night out I think it will do very nicely. Hopefully it's still in theaters.

IMO - Gone with the Wind and The Godfather.
I am also a fan of Steel Magnolias and 10 things I hate about you. Growing up in the 80s I also loved Dirty Dancing.

One of the best movies I saw, but it was released over 10 years ago, I believe was called "Bride over Madison County" starring Clint Eastwood and Meryl Streep. I saw it actually in Switzerland while visiting family there.
I don't watch current movies much, so I'm not sure what to recommend to you. I'm sure you'll get some responses posting your question here.

Well there is a new one out that has Hilary Swank in it, it looks like a re-done version of Dangerous Minds or Lean On Me, but nevertheless it looks good. Not to sure of the name though.
