I don't know, I love Microsoft but I do wish that they were a little more creative, just Apple is.

Opinions?

The two are as different as they are for a reason, they cater to different markets. Microsoft is the old standy, tried and trusted while Apple is being innovative for those who are ready for a change. Microsoft is an amazing company that always puts out the best products it can and doesn't need to use gimmicks to sell. Apple is also a great company, but they are trying to steal some of Microsoft's stranglehold on the market and obviously need tobe different.

microsoft is too busy controlling their grips on the common user that is stuck using their crappy software. They are not going to be creative cause it doesn't pay. it's easier to curn out their poop then making quality software. Apple does not have much to lose cause they got a steady income from other forms (like ipod and the music store and a long line of trusting users) that they got nothing to lose if they change a thing here and there to make their product more "creative" as you said. that's why apple is going to pc chips and microsoft is going for more anti-piracy tactics to keep the user from making their product more "user friendly" (or in other words, make it do what you want it to do , not what it wants you to do). You want creative? go to linux or test a mac. You want your poop, stick with microsoft.

Microsoft was created by people who think from the left side of the brain for people who use the left side of the brain. (logic, calculatory, organizational, mathematical, business)
Apples are created by people who think from the right side of the brain for those who use the right side of the brain. (artists, animators, creative designers, illustrators etc.)
This is why the creative people prefer Macs.
