Lose the light brown and it works.

I'd have to say yes and no. Everything works except the brown flats. Go with a black shoe.
It all matches though since brown is a neutral, I just think it would look better with a black shoe. Or a purple shoe...hmm....

I'd tend to think so but I guess it depends. Light brown shoes with a light purple sweater is OK.

In general, no, they don't clash. But it would depend on how they were put together in an outfit whether it would work or not.
Honestly, I think those color options sound a bit bland. 3 neutrals with only one pale color might end up looking washed out. Try a more vivid purple, and skip one of the neutrals in your outfit.

i think anything goes these days. brown, gray, and black are nuetral and go with anything. light purple wont be a problem. when i see brown and turquoise blue, i have a hard time taking that in, but after a while, it grows on you. just dont do green and purple. or orange and purple.

They wouldn't be my choice of colors, but as long as the brown doesn't lead toward the reddish, you're ok.
