Can you please help me do the following problem

2x +2z=6
5x+3y =11
3y - 4z=1
can you please explain to me how to do it the answers in the back in the book are (-2,7,5). I keep trying the problem but I keep getting the wrong answer can you please help.

ok step 1:
2x+2z=6
which means 4x + 4z = 12
step 2:
now 3y + 4z = 1
Adding
4x+3y=13 (1)
step 3:
now 5x+3y=11 (2)

(2) - (1) we get
x = -2
step 4:
put this in 2x + 2z = 6. u get
2z = 10
thus z = 5.
step 5:
put z = 5 in 3y - 4z = 1
u get 3y = 21
thus y = 7.
Therefore the answer is (-2,7,5)!
PS: This is an algebra question. another made same mistake said it is trigonometry not algebra.

Start out with 2z = 6 - 2x.
Double it to 4z = 12 - 4x.
Then you can substitute that into the last equation.
You will get 3y - 12 + 4x = 1.
Then look at the last equation. It has 3y too.
Since the signs are the same for 3y, switch all the signs in the last equation.
You get 3y + 4x = 13 and after using system of equations the y's will cancel out and you will get -x = 2 so x = -2. Then substitute that into the 2nd equation to find y and the 1st equation to find z.

Solve the first equation for Z

Z = (6 - 2x) / 2

Solve the second for Y

Y = (11 - 5x) / 2

Now sub into the 3rd...

3*[(11 - 5x) / 2] - 4*[(6 - 2x) / 2] = 1

Now Simplify:

* both sides by 2
3*[(11 - 5x)] - 4*[(6 - 2x)] = 2

remove the brackets i used to show the substitution
3*(11 - 5x) - 4*(6 - 2x) = 2

Multiply Through
33 - 15x - 24 + 8x = 2

Combine like terms
9 - 7x = 2

isolation x
7 = 7x

x = 1

Now substitude X into the first two equations and solve for Y and Z

2*(1) + 2*Z = 6

So 2*Z = 6 - 2
Z = 2

Now, the last

5x+3y =11

5*(1) + 3y = 11

3y = 11 - 5
3y = 6
y=2
