All of your answers are funny. However, if PR people are going to identify people by their title, they should have some understanding of what type of title it is. They run ads and promotions and really don't know what they are talking about.

Royalty is the top of nobility rank.
In the feudal model :
King rules by power of God, nobility rules by power of the king.
Social ascencion is you own nobility by proving it to the king, you can win a kingdom if you are already noble by defeating the king.

Royalty ... persons who have (usually centuries ago) became Sovereign by conquest. [example, William "the Conqueror"] and their descendants, at least to a certain number of generations of descent.

Nobility ... persons who have been given titles and social position. IN olden days, perhaps for great and noble deeds done for the benefit of the country. Perhaps such as the first Duke of Marlborough? Or of Wellington? etc. Usually such titles were inherited by descendants; perhaps for many generations.

And then there are Knights, etc. Chivalry, etc. Or because some politician wants them rewarded.

So address your complaints to the news media, not on Yahoo. What have you accomplished? You just managed to call a whole bunch of Americans ignorant, and although no one really cares about the difference between royalty and nobility, they certainly care when someone lumps us all in one big ignorant pile.
