This becomes x^2 = 361/289

x = sqrt(361/289)

x = 19/17

The log is to the base x.

log[x] 361/289 = 2

Exponentiating

361/289 = x²
x = ±√(361/289) = ±(19/17)

10^2 = x 361/289
100 = x 361/289
28900 = x 361
x = 80,055401662....

I don't know about Northstar's answer. I don't think the base of a log can be negative.
