I also know of another free MMORPG. I played it for a while before I gave in and bought WoW. It is called Tibia and it is a 2d game with 4 classes...

There are a few you can try, all of them need downloads as far as I know. One is MapleStory, another is called Dofus. Try searching Google or Yahoo for MMORPGs. Try AdventureQuest if you want something less complex.
