Irony in Cyrano de Bergerac?

What do we know about Cyrano and Roxane's agreement that Christian does not know? How is this ironic?

I must've missed it, but I didn't see any agreement Roxane and Cyrano made. Any clarification much appreciated!

Cyrano agrees to talk to Christian for Roxanne.

It is ironic because she told the person she loved herself since she was really in love with Cyrano because of his words - she, however, thought that she was in love with Christian since Cyrano pretended to be Christian.

I know the wording isn't the best, but you should get the idea!
