The book "I'll love you forever" by Robert Munsch and Sheila McGraw is a favorite with moms of boys and could easily be considered a poem.

This website seems to have a bunch of poems from mom to baby, you might find something there.

Good luck!

I have a book that is called " The Write Baby and Toddler Words" which has poems quotes and all different things in it that is yours to use in anyway you so choose, the web site in the front cover is www.eksuccess.com but I think that is just the publishing co. Here is one I copied for you- " Baby's fishing for a dream, Fishing near and far. His line a silver moonbeam his bait a silver star" and this is my own add on My son how fast your growing , I say as I watch you mowing, Before you & I know it you will be a man, My dreams for you my sweet boy are to do everything you can, Because our love for you will never whan. ( I know that last part is corny but it gives you something to work with!) Oh wait here is one from the book that's short and sweet " He's a little touch of Heaven, Sent down from above He's filled our lives with happiness and our hearts full of love" Good Luck!
