Lol....This is how you end up with a new pet!

My daughter likes to do this and we get into a struggle about bringing in one more animal that she will not be responsible for.

When we are away from home and see a stray and he looks malnurished or hungry....yes. Like at a local hamburger joint. There are always cats hanging out near the drive thru area. So I've tossed them food from time to time.

lol, that's funny because I do. I feed a stray cat. Now the cat will come up to me when I go out to feed it. I even buy cat food and treats for the cat.

I've been known to feed neighborhood strays- dogs, cats, humans..

We had a cat have kittens under our porch- a stray- last Summer. I took care of her and found homes for her babies and got her spayed and found her a home. My husband was a wee bit annoyed with me, but it's not her fault nobody fixed her or her mama.

no, not any more - I fed a couple of racoons one summer and they clawed a hole in some shingles and plywood over a dormer and lived in the space between the roof and the walls. Come spring and I had a litter of 5 in there with mom and let me tell you those kids party all night. $1500 to fix the roof and $100 each to trap my buddies and have them relocated.

No, because if you feed them they might have some sort of disease and they must fend for themselves. If they are starting to be dependent on people feeding they then they'll lose their sense of hunting and independence. People might also feed them some food that's not good for them and it might even wipe them out.
