If so, isn't that a little frightening?

Interesting. "One4god" below states that Bin-Laden was being harbored in Iraq? Not Afgan but Iraq. Is there something not right with this statement or did I read it wrong?

You see "One4god" and "all4bush" live in another dimension as Bin laden hated the secular Sadaam and Sadaam viewd Bin Laden as a possible threat to his authority. We all know how Sadaam felt about his authority don't we. Am I wrong on this? Please ask others to view this post and join the discussion.

With all due respect to the people on this thread who think Cheney hasn't said that Iraq was tied to 9/11, you are all dead wrong. From the aritcle linked below:

The president's comments came in response to a reporter's question about Vice President Dick Cheney's assertion Sunday on NBC's "Meet The Press" program that Iraq was the "geographic base" of the terrorists behind the attacks on New York and Washington.

Yes, WMD's were not found in Iraq, but, Osama Bin Laden was using Iraq as a safe haven. Mr. Bin Laden also produced his statements to the International world, while in Iraq. Although, we may see no fault of the Iraqis, Iraq's leadership had harbored all of its activities. Do we have to believe that any country harboring/training/funding any terrorist organization, to be freed of its responsibility to the international world at-large? Do we allow these countries like Iraq, Iran and Syria, continue a jihad against the western world? Yes, I agree directly Iraq was not responsible, but, indirectly feel strongly that they failed to notify the world at-large of an terrorist organization taking over part of their country. This action would have saved many, many lives. In addition to if Iraq had informed the international community at-large military and economic assistance from the UN, or whoever, may have assisted Iraq with the terrorist situation. But, it is seemingly suspicious that they failed to do that, and they did have international involvement with other world countries, during the Nuke inspections done by the UN in Iraq. Husein did not comply, which left his motivations questionable.

They don't believe anything.. they create, plain and simple. Bush and Cheney never "believed" anything as this has all been a rouse from the git go... please, we are talking major power brokering. These fckers are creating wealth for their family names like J Paul Geddy, and Rockefeller.. that's all that this is .. the rich becoming super rich.. if in the process they could become world dominator's .. great, but that's really not what's behind the wanton greed involved here $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ is God,

They had nothing to do with it, yes, but guess what! Taking power into Iraq has attracted those terrorists into a trap. Do you realize that creating an Army base in Iraq will A: attract those radicals to the base, and B: Create a base of intelligence closer to those terrorists. Saddam was obviously crazy. He may have nothing to do with the war on terror, but his country is a nice place to base out our war on terror.

You have to think strategically, not religiously. We have built a military and attracted the terrorists into creating a new base of operations.

I don't think he ever believed it, nor did his puppet. The whole affair stinks, too many things don't add up. If anyone told me it was an inside job, I would believe it. Greed and power rule don't ever forget it and to the people involved, nothing is too costly if they believe they can get away with it.

Cheney knows better. He also knows that if you keep repeating the same lie over and over, there's people that will begin to believe you.
