just tell them how u feel, it's better than staying with someone that u dont want to be with and it will hurt him in the process, dont cheat yourself or him so the right thing to do is to be completely honest and he'll respect u for that at the end of the day even though he'll be hurt.

tell the person straight up, how you feel, so you won't lead him on
just tell him, u like him as a friend and nothing more. He will understand if you do it sooner and tell him that any girl would be glad 2 have him

Be kind, but be straight forward and direct. If you don't want to date him anymore, don't string him along. Just tell him. His feelings will be hurt (of course they will), but he will appreciate the honesty.

just be honest and don't email it to him,just be straight,but don't say it in a rude way,say it in an assertive way,mean what you say and say it in a good way.(good attitude).
