Scarlett has always liked Justin," an insider avows in the mag's "Justin's Revenge Romance" cover story. "They've always had a flirtation -- that's why Cameron was threatened by her."
The casting of the pneumatic Sexiest Woman Alive, who once dated Diaz's ex Jared Leto and was recently linked to Josh Hartnett, purportedly caused tensions to boil over with Cam and Justin, and "paved the way for Johansson to move in for the kill."
"[Diaz] could not believe he went behind her back to put her in the video," says a friend of the "Sexyback" singer. "Cameron was very jealous of Scarlett."
The source then helpfully adds that Johansson and Timberlake "definitely got together after she did the video."
The pair, who reportedly enjoyed an "intimate" hour-long tête-à -tête last Wednesday at a shindig following the L.A. premiere of his flick "Alpha Dog," are only in "the beginning stages" of a romance, says Us, but are "excited to get to know each other."
