what is a good speech topic for a grade 7 student that isn't overdone like smokeing. i need a topic that noone did and is interesting that catches the audiences attension

Do a report on the things we do to fit in, how beauty plays a huge role in today's society, and how shallow some people can be. There are TONS of things you could say, and so many way to put it, that it could be logn or short.

video games, parties, TV, lifestyle, sex (come on most kids by this time should of at least had the birds and the bees speech), pets etc. just something the students are interested in maybe a topic concerning no particular topic just let the students decide what the topics are

definitely needs to be something pertinent to your age group... How about cellphones at schools? A lot of schools try to ban them. A positive is that parents and students can keep in touch. Negatives are possiblities of cheating thru texting and interrupting teachers' class time.

lots of information on these things
and there is a wide range of things to talk about such as:
economy during the time
the evolution of the military since then
world leaders
history is a very wide subject, and should not be limited to U.S. History either
of course this all depends on what the subject of your speech is supposed to be about, and what you want

Try something that interest kids your age. Curfews, parties, music, tests(ex. TAKS in Texas is a big deal and many students are against it.)
