It is considered disgraceful for a woman to go without makeup and her hair done?

not really, you shouldnt feel forced into wearing makeup everytime you leave the house. However, when you do go out for anything more than the gym or grocery store, you at least want to look decent. that doesnt always mean makeup, but dont just tie up your hair and put on sweats when going out to lunch.

there are a few things all women should understand: wearing make up is just the same as wearing a nice nakelace -it's an accessory, not a must. Maybe the idea that it isn't respectful to leave the house without make up and a nice hairdo stuck from the 1950's, but this is 2007! Every woman in the world has one life as herself, and she should enjoy her life to the maximum amount possible! If you feel more comfortable free, without any gunk on your face, go without it. Men don't usually wear make-up, and you don't see any one make fun of it. it should be the same for girls... do what YOU want!

I wouldn't consider it disgraceful- maybe DISTASTEFUL (lol) seriously tho' back in the 40's & 50's women always wore make-up, jewelry and had their hair done for the simple fact their husbands and society sort of expected it of them, even if they never left the house!! But today a woman does as SHE wants not as what other's want, so if you don't feel like putting your make-up on then don't and if your having a very bad hair day- throw it in a ponytail or put on a hat and go!I like to at least put make-up on when I leave to go shopping or someplace it makes me feel better about me!!

Well you have to look put together and clean. But that doesn't mean that you must wear makeup or put products in your hair.
Many women go natural and look very beautiful because they don't need makeup to make them look pretty.
Other women are ugly as hell and pile on any products they can in order to hide their gorilla face.

what? disgraceful to not wear makeup? no way.
I have long hair so I know it can be a pain to deal with, but you can always tie it back.

There is nothing wrong in going without makeup. I sometimes only wear moisturizer and mascara.

no i don't think makeup is a standard for women...it is a mere choice...we are not expected to wear it we just do...natural beauty is best let ur inner child shine through...show ur beauty through ur personality
