Today I woke up with my body aching, a sore throat, stuffy nose, cramping-contraction like pains in my lower stomach, plus I feel like I have to pee all the time, and when I pee it sorta tickles when I'm almost finished. My husband thinks I need to go to the doctor, but I think that it's just a cold and my nerves (I just buried my grandpa today and then I found out that my cousin killed herself). Any advice??

The stress has probably broken down your immune system (yes there is a connection) I think you may have a cold, but also a UTI. I would go to the doctor ASAP so the UTI does not progress into a renal infection.

You've had a rough few days, and your body may be reacting to all the tension you've felt. With all the activities, sadness, crying, emotional turmoil, your muscles have been tensed up and your immune system has been challenged.

It sounds as though you could have a bladder infection, relating to the frequent peeing and the feeling when your bladder is emptied. Get some cranberry juice and drink that over the next couple days. It doesn't have to be pure cranberry juice, but that works best. Some have Vitamin C added, which would be good for your bladder health and your cold. I like Ocean Spray Cranberry cocktail because it's easy to drink, has 100% Vit C, and comes in a Light flavor.

Take a few Advil or Tylenol, get some Zicam nasal gel (to prevent and treat cold symptoms) and use that for the next couple days. Can you stay in bed tomorrow, or on the couch, wrapped in a blanket, drinking fluids and relaxing? That would do you a world of good.

If you have a fever in the morning, if you feel burning with urination, or the lower abdominal cramping feels worse, or if the sore throat is worse, see your doc tomorrow. Otherwise see what a couple days of rest will do for you.

I'm sorry for all the sadness you've experienced. Life has a way of knocking us off our feet sometimes!

It might be something worse early detection is the best for serious illness. Although it means a bill it's better safe than sorry.

first, i'm sorry about your loss, but then i think you just need some quiet time - go away for a few days to relax in a nice, quiet hotel. get your thoughts together, pray, and ask God for his healing over your body, and peace and protection over the family. God bless you.

t appears it is cold and your nerves as you think but if there is no relief in a day or two, then see your Doctor.
