The question that we need to answer is, "What are we really here for?" If we can answer this one simple question, we will hold the key to the meaning of life, of existence. We will find God and everything else that we desire. At this juncture this may seem like a tall claim to some. But understand that the first part of this search is the jump that we have to take. It is only when the seed gets into the ground that there is a possibility of growth. That is what we are talking about here - getting into the ground.
We are all seeds. There is a seed of divinity within us all, only it hasn't sprouted yet. So we ask it to sprout, we give it a chance to sprout, by asking ourselves this question first and foremost - "Why are we here?" This entire existence is only to understand that. An entire existence is very vast. Many many lifetimes, many of which we are not even aware of today, all for just one purpose - to understand what we are doing here.
There are other questions, which go along with this - "Where have we come from? Where are we going to after this? How long have we been doing this? And, how long are we going to continue doing this?" These are all related questions. This is the kindergarten level when you start your spiritual quest. But this is where we all start out from because you can't skip kindergarten. You have to rise step-by-step. You have to open your understanding to progress.
Another few questions that we must all ask ourselves are, "Why do we need God?" "Why are we not fulfilled just as we are?" "?No matter where we will be, no matter what we may be doing, no matter how old or how fit, no matter how happy or unhappy we may be at this moment, why can't we just let the struggle go and be totally happy?" "Why do we need to find some meaning?" After all, animals don't need to find a meaning. Trees don't need to find a meaning. The oceans, the rivers and the mountains don't have a need to find meaning.
Then why do we? Why do we need God in the first place? Nobody has seen him, nobody has met him, he doesn't have a fixed address and still we are searching for him everywhere. Isn't that the irony of life? Something which people say is nowhere to be found, and we search for it everywhere. Yet, why can't we give up this search? Why do we feel unfulfilled without it? hy can't we be complete, just as we are today, in this moment? You have all realised, that even after having a family, even after attaining maturity, even after having fun and games, even after having enjoyed pleasurable moments, even after having pains and disappointments, even after having wealth or poverty, you are still incomplete. This is the truth we all carry within ourselves. We may try and fool ourselves saying that we are complete in the moment, but we know we really cannot say that forever.
We can only say it in a certain period of time. When circumstances change, environment's change, people around us change, even this speck of truth changes for us. It is not an ultimate Truth. It is not changeless, it is not eternal. That is why all the time we seek something which is permanent, which does not change, which we can keep with ourselves always regardless of where we may be, what we may be doing. And this whole search is the search for one's own inner self.

I feel the truth is what you realize. It can be right or wrong and moslty opinion, but ultimately it is what you come to understand. Things that are widely understood that many people agree with is a general truth. Other than that truth varies on the indivisual, so don't let anyone lie to you and tell you , that you don't know the truth. Only you know what the truth is.

Truth may best be defined as an incontrovertible fact, for example if you let go of a ball it will fall to the ground. But while many truths are readily agreed, others are more difficult and subjective: for example the lovers who promise to be true, and the servant who promises to be true to their master. It can also be a quality or a condition to aspire to: for example to be true to oneself, or if one is an artist, to be true to the materials. I think truth is hard to establish unilaterally. There must always be agreement between at least two independent individuals for the truth to be accepted as such.

Ah, one of the greatest questions ever asked, pondered by philosophers throughout the ages with nary an answer!
Truth is intangible and elusive. We can define it by what it's not, but then that's not much of a definition. We sometimes know it when we see it, but it can be misleading. It also depends on whether you mean subjective or objective truth.

Truth depends on the person's perception. What one person sees as the truth another may see as lies. There is no one truth.

Truth is the presence of absolutes. The statement, "If it feels good, do it." has nothing to do with truth.

truth is the deeper reality of things..etc..and oftentimes..we really dont know it...no one knows the truth...for all we know are just facts...and theres really a difference between a fact and a truth..a fact is a statement proven to be true through observations..experiments...but TRUTH is the deepest reality or its the thing behind those facts..

I cite from the book "Report about King David" (the one from the Bible), where his biographer says:
"Thank you God for making the truth a beautiful meadow where anyone can pick the flower he likes the best."
