The other day my computer started hitching and running really slow. So i checked bios and the power fan speed was running @ like 700 rpm.. I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be at around 2000 or so.. Also when i first turn on my computer it runs at like 300 and windows won't even start up. It'll start up once it's running at 700 though, but the max speed it goes is 1000 which it's running at right now. So is this a sign that my PSU is dying? Should i go ahead and order a new one? Thanks

Well one thing for sure is that the fan in the PSU is dying.

IT may be very dirty and can't spin properly.

That RPM is too low for a PSU.

You could replace the fan in the PSU , but if you don't know what you are doing , DO NOT OPEN A PSU.

Just buy a new PSU.

similar right here about U2 and MCR... If I grew up contained in the 60's and 70's i might want to be prepared on The Beatles. If I grew up contained in the 80's Bruce Springsteen. My song instructor loves Bruce Springsteen and is continually taking section in him for us so he's grown on me... yet i love his cutting-edge song too yet his older stuff is the perfect, for my section.
