Murphy: Born 20 June 1924. Died 28 May 1971. Interred in Arlington National Cemetery
with full military honors.
Wanda Hendrix: First Wife. No children. Married 1949. Divorced 1951.
Pamela Archer: Second Wife. Married 1951.

ill. Brother Audie Murphy was the most decorated soldier during WWII and wrote the book " To Hell and Back " relating his own experiences. He also starred in the movie version.
