while your sitting in front of your computer ( do they just come to you) or do you think them up while wating in line, at the bus stop for the # 26 to come along? Or while your shaving in the shower getting ready for a date, or while SHAGGING the mail room clerk in the broom closet on your lunch break. Or simple while trying to fall a sleep?

Some of the above. I dont ride a bus and we dont have a mail clerk where I work. But I have thought of things before dozing off at night. usually I come up with things while I'm here and I log on to ask away or I'll read someones stupid question and it will spark one of my own.
