well your question is phrased kinda accusingly so don't be surprised if you get booed
part of being an American is believing that 'America is the best damn country in the world'. That's true for other countries as well of course - French people think French are the best, Ethiopians probably think Ethiopia kicks ***, etc. But with Americans it goes deeper than that.
There's a self-congratulatory streak running through US culture that truly believes the idea that 'America is the greatest country that ever was, is or ever shall be'. American kids are taught as much in school (in so many words)
Part of that pride is justified because the idea of America - the whole truth, liberty and justice for all thing - is fantastic and unlike any other nation on Earth. Unfortunately, the reality does not always live up to the dream.
America is a huge country and it's very easy to live your whole life here without fully realizing that other countries exist. A lot of Americans who sit at the bar shouting about how much better they are than the rest of the world have never travelled further than a few hundred miles from where they were born.
so go figure

No. I personally would not consider myself to be superior to anyone. I do believe I live in a wonderful country and feel fortunate that I was born here.
Do I think that there are other countries that are as great as the US? Honestly, I haven't traveled much, so I can't say that for sure, but in all probability there are other countries that are just as great. Are there other countries that don't afford the opportunities that the US offers? Absolutely, you can pick up any newspaper (regardless of the paper's political leanings) and see that.
But with that being said, I will reiterate, I do not believe that I personally am superior to anyone else in any other nation.

If you were honestly just wondering, I really don't know what to say. Think about it like this, let's say you really wanted to know if, let's say the French thought themselves to be superior to every other people in the world. Then you realized that some do and some don't. Why haven't you realized this, and how pointless your question is? I am sorry if you are completely earnest in your asking, but I am just a little tired of people asking this, not because it is an accusation, but because the question just shows a complete lack of common sense.

No. But I do feel we are the best country in the world. We do more good for this world than every other nation combined. We are the sole reason the there is freedom in this world. Without America, this world would be enslaved by either the Soviets or the Germans.

No. Not at all, actually. I've been living in Canada for a year and a half now, and I can honestly say that I, as an American, am not superior to any other human being.

Not every other persons in the world, just 99% of them. Some that aren't american, can make cool electronics that I like. I find them somewhat useful. If only I could hire them with all the money I have. Do they take reall US currency or do I have to pay them with pigs or something? I find the fact that you've typed this in English, should of told you before you asked. It's not that we "think" we're better......we are better! Get over it!

At best, with our current political climate, I consider myself ashamed to be an American. As a general rule, even the people that consider themselves social liberals here are so conceited that they're blinded by their own superiority complexes.
Man is man, regardless of race, ethnicity, social status, country of origin, or religion.

Goodness, no. I've met so many people from so many other countries, and I can't help but think how so few Americans take the time to appreciate other countries and cultures. I'm still quite guilty of it.
I am proud to say, however, that we can do damn near anything we want here, and that kinda rules.

Absolutely not! I am very blessed to live in a free country rather than one run by a dictator or worse but I would never consider myself to be superior to any other person either from my own country or any other country.

No. My mother and father were born in Vietnam, but no matter what people here in America call me, I am an American. I was born here raised here. I don't think i am surperior to other people in the world, but i definitely feel blessed to be born in this country, where to lose a few pounds is good news, and to lose a few pounds in Africa or Vietnam, is truly unfortunate.
