I do not hate Dan Brown but I dislike because his whole novel Da Vinci Code is nothing else but a copy of the book The Holy blood and the Holy Grail.(1982)

i don't believe in the Da Vinci Code, but i get what Dan's trying to say. The Da Vinci Code is how he interpreted the Gospels, which is a book written by Jesus's followers about Jesus's life.
Even so, the book is ficticious, because some of the characters of the story are anagrams of other character names from books with Christian roots.
BTW: i don't think Leonardo Da Vinci would be related to Jesus Christ anyways...

For one to "hate" Dan Brown would mean his writing has shaken some basic part of ones belief system. The Da Vinci Code has done just that, effecting many people and institutions.
It is amazing to see the turmoil created by a work of fiction in many of the institutions he mentions in the book.
He has struck some sensitive nerves with people who have been propagating institutional lies upon the people of this good earth for thousands of years. Yes, they hate him for it! Theological and governmental dictatorships must always fear creative, investigative thinking and writing.

I don't hate him, I just didn't like his book. In fact the first book that I read from him was The Da Vinci Code. I didn't like it at all, way too long, boring and predictable. So I have never bothered to read another book written by him.

It's a book of FICTION....I say it again, FICTION. Those that choose to believe every word in the book as being the absolute truth are probably the same folks who believe the Holocaust never happened, and UFO's are abducting farmers out in Iowa all the time.

I don't hate him, I enjoyed reading his books but people have to understand that he writes FICTION. Many people believed everything he wrote but a lot was but together for entertainment! Once people respect that and come to terms with what their beliefs are there should be no ill feelings towards him.

personally, despite the loony idea for a book (controversy always sells), the only reason i could hate Dan brown is because his books are bad. writing is about using language to engage the reader in a story, not induce a snooze fest of boredom. there are no bad stories, just badly written ones.
