Yes. These are two methods used by actors in my family:

1.) Record yourself saying the lines & then listen to them over and over (kind of like how you learn the lyrics to a song you like).

2.) Write, say 7/of the lines @ a time, in super huge letters on a blank notebook page. My husband (a working actor) does this all of the time. Say the lines w/out looking...and then do 7/more lines...and the 7 more lines, and then the last 7 lines.

**After I think I have all the lines memorized, I like to then say them out loud to someone w/out looking....you always think you know it better in your head than out loud. Then you can say the first time mess up - not in public or for your class. Break-a-leg :)

When I need to learn a Shakesperian text I read it at least five times and after I decide I understood the lines and most important why do I say the lines, in which context, what do I have to gain or lose if saying those lines (as the character in the play) I make a film in my head where I picture what happens when I say this lines, to who am I saying the lines and in less than an hour: problem solved! If you try memorising a shakespearian text and not only, without giving it a meaning it is very probable to have problems like: forgetting words (you cannot improvise on Shakespeare becouse the text is written in verse, plus everyone knows it!) , or look stupid becouse you say things with the wrong accent showing that you don't understand the text and probably the worst case forget the text before getting the chance to use it! Hope it helps!

That ma be difficult considering the language... read it to your family or to yourself in a mirror, until you are confident you know it. then, try to say it without looking. if you need to look, look. After a few times you learn your problem spots and you learn to fix them before you say it the next time. Most of all, DO NOT get frustrated. Its horrible! then, focus on the actual words themselves, and act on them.

Read the lines over and over again.

Repeat the lines over and over to yourself. Using colors can help you remember since your mind responds well to colors.

Read them and act them, if you forget, improvise!
