I don't need to look him up, I was in the same room with him and Rigoberta Menchu in 1991... I want to know what the TAIWANESE know about him.

I think, the way Taiwan sees him is only for commercial and political issues,

for example.. Taiwan has well developed enterprises in Nicaragua because the government allows them to do whatever they want..so.. what Taiwan seeks with this new president is to keep this international relation for their own success with the companies they have there

Former communist guerrilla leader who is now part of the democratic political system in Nicaragua. Seriously, you can look him up in a thousand different places.

I think that as he's a former Sandanista, and in my opinion still a communist, he'll be very close to China, so I don't hold out much hope in him helping to retain Taiwan's diplomatic representation.

average person= doesnt care. they think chen is wasting his money on buying yet another tin pot dictators favors to show 'support' for his half baked idea of how to run a country.

most people here want chen to stay in nicaraugua and grow some bananas.
