see, (x+1)^2 = 900,
now, x+1 = sqr of 900,ie = +/- 30.
if x+1 = 30,then x = 29 or x+1 = -30 ie x= -31
noe simple , take x =29.
x-4 = 29-4 = 25,or or if x = -31 then,x-4 = -31-4 , x = -35.
here given x = -35, that is the ans.
bye,
thank u.

(x + 1)2 = 900
=> 2x + 2 = 900 => x = 900-2 / 2
=> x = 449
Now substituting the value of x in (x-4), we get-
449 - 4 = 445. Answer

(x+1)^2=900
x+1=+/_30(because root could be of any sign)
x+1=30 x+1=-30
x=30-1 x= -30-1
x=29 x= -31
by substituing both we get,
x-4= 29-4 x-4= -31-4
x-4=25 x-4= -35

(x+1)^2=900
x+1=+30 or -30
x=31 or x=-29
if both values subtracted by 4
x-4=31-4
=27
or
x-4=-29-4
=-33
