If you are single, your federal tax will be $72 a week roughly plus FICA & Medicare about $42.00 plus whatever state you live in will have tax too. Sad isn't it. My husband & I paid more in tax this year than we made 10 years ago & they want more taxes.

If you claim the tax free threshold and receive leave loading you should be paying $97 tax (nett pay = $484.70).

If you don't receive leave loading you should pay $95 tax (nett pay = $486.70).

If you don't claim the tax free threshold you should pay $159 tax (nett pay = $422.70)

depends on your elected deduction amounts for federal - single 0 - married 99, etc. social security is 7.65 % and state is also an elected deduction. depends on you really, social security is the only absolute.

it depends if you have any dependants. if its just you, theyre going to rape your check via taxes. it also depends on the state you live in.
