I have consistently suggested she should study history on a more consistent basis (she's been pre-accepted to college of choice) but consistently suggests that 'war doesn't solve anything' - which of course doesn't answer the initial question. Many of her questions revolve around the Iraq conflict & why we are there and "kill people". Thanks!

It's nothing to do with history... It has to do with people trying to get what they want. The answer has to be fear. Fear of death is why war starts. If we had no fear of death then they will have to find another way to get what they want.... Maybe doing it themselves?
