look at the recent votes on minimum wage, homeland security and medical...nearly half of Republicans are following Democrat's lead...is Bush doomed....are his comments about Iran an Sryia and his calls for more troops an act of desperation? Is he in deep "you know what"?

I don't know about the Republican party as a whole, but the Republicans who were running for office this past election certainly seemed to distance themselves from Bush.

Many Republicans are giving in to the issues raised by the Democrats because they believe that President Bush had committed errors particularly his policies on foreign diplomacy.

Yes and no. He'll have a very little more time to show progress in Iraq. They will abandon him on Iraq if nothing happens soon.

But they won't abandon his ideals. The minimum wage vote is a surprise, but even if the white house doesn't lead, there will be an anti-socialist voice led by the Republican Party.

Bush didn't sign on for a popularity contest. All presidents become very unpopular during a war. Even Lincoln was not spared. Let history decide.

All the ones up for election in 2008 have made condemning statements--as we have stated all along, once they realized that being on their knees under Cheney's desk isn't gonna get them re-elected--their finally coming up for air!!
