Yes, sometimes tubal ligations fail and women get pregnant and those women can carry a successful pregnancy to term barring other complications. Also, some women who have had their tubes tied chose to undergo InVitro Fertilization instead of a tubal reversal and those women also can carry a baby successfully to term.

I am amazed to see how many people are POSTIVE that it is impossible to get pregnant with your tubes tied.
I successfully had my tubes cut and burned in 2001. 4 days ago my husband and I went to a Dr because we suspected something might be wrong or that I was starting menopause (I am 35). We went home with quite a happy and frightening surprise. We ARE pregnant, and we did so without IVF or a reverse tubaligation. Now we are in a waiting game while test are being done to be sure that we are not having an ectopic pregnancy.
Ironically, we were just about to have surgery to have the tubaligation reversed.

You can't get pregnant on your own with tied tubes (unless they messed up the proceedure), but you can go through IVF, and if a pregnancy occures, yes you can have a normal pregnancy. There are plenty of women that get pregnant through IVF without any tubes at all, have perfectly normal pregnancies and give birth to perfectly healthy babies.

You will not get pregnant naturally if your tubes are tied. When someone has their tubes tied, that means they have had surgery and the tube that the egg travels down has been cut and the ends clamped.
If you have the tubal ligation reversed, it might be possible to get pg. The surgery itself would not affect whether or not a pg was normal.

having your tubes tied has nothing to do with carrying a pregnancy. If you become pregnant by using some sort of fertility intervention such as IVF no there will not be any problems. Now getting pregnant with your tubes tided maybe the problem.

If the operation was successful, then unfortunately, No. The fallopian tubes are the only means for the egg, from the ovaries, to reach the uterus. Without them, the egg can never reach the uterus for insemination.
