AC/DC - Nothing fancy, just simple RnR the way it should be
Black Sabbath - Great slow metal band with great lyrics
Kiss - The Show of Shows live
Led Zeppelin - Talent to spare, great songs (esp. early stuff)
The Clash - Simple semi-punk band, fun to listen to
Van Halen - Superb guitar work
Aerosmith - Better now that they cut back on the D&A
Alice Cooper - Lyrics have more to say that most people noticed
Guns n' Roses - Had HUGE potential, but fell short, Slash rocks!
Motley Crue - Good, not great
The Ramones - Amazing how they made so many songs from one rhythm and four chords
Iron Maiden - Good
Def Leppard - Too pop for my taste, but not bad
Metallica - Over-rated cry babies

Oh thats tough.. I would have to put Ramones, Iron Maiden, AC/DC, Metallica, Led Zep,Van Halen, Black Sabbath, The Clash, Alice, GNR, Kiss, Def Lep and Motley Crue. and i dont like Aerosmith lol

This is hard because some of these bands were great once and now are dreadful (like Def Leppard, who a few years ago had sunk so low as to play a FREE concert at a FAIR! Yeah, I went.). So this ranking is "when they were greatest" not "what they are now".
