His international career isn't over because he's going to play in the MLS next season; it's over because England has the best midfield in the world (Lampard, Joe Cole, Gerrard, Wolcott, Hargreaves) and Beckham can no longer play at the same level. The fact that he's going to be in the MLS instead of a bench player at Real Madrid is a money issue. Beckham can be a star in the MLS, bring in new fans, develop the game/league in the US, and make himself and his team a ton of money through increased exposure and endorsement deals.

David Beckham's career at England was finished after the FIFA 2006 World Cup. He had a better performance when he was younger.
Well, it is over since he joined LA Galaxy. He has no position in the English national team. With mid-fielders like Gerrard, Lampard and Hargreaves, Beckham has no chance.

Good choice for Beckham. The coaches won't let him play, so he won't play!!!!!!!!

It was over after the world cup, Steve Mclaren will be England boss for atleast 2 more years and he has stated he has no plans of ever recalling Beckham. After Beckham was kicked out of Man Utd and sucked at Real Madrid he is now pretty much an average player and no chance to play for England.

It's been over for a while now... and that's sad cuz the English team won't be the same anymore... The fact that he's coming to play in the U.S. MLS doesn't really have anything to do with it. He decided to leave the position as captain and right after they just dropped him... just like that...

For the most part, it's already been over. But if McClaren ever decided to call him up, he could still play as he will still be a citizen of England.
