Mine went back to normal right after I had the baby. I did buy one of those pregnancy belly rings to help keep the hole open.

mine at the end of my pregnancy looked like fire was coming out of it cuz of tiny little stretch marks it looks funny and stretched out for awhile but once you return to normal size so does it but you'll probably have to get it re pierced though mine will only fit a 16 gauge now instead of a fourteen and no good belly rings come in 16 but i just go with out anything

It depends how fast it takes to grow over. Mine will grow over if I take it out for a couple hours. Im almost 17 weeks and I still havent taken mine out. I plan to keep it in as long as I can. I've already read up about it and its ok as long as its not uncomfortable. My boyfriends sister had hers out for 5 months while she was pregnant and hers went right back in after giving birth.

You can get a soft, nylon barbell to keep the hole open.
