... now, I realize that the pros can usually throw in the 90s...but how hard can an average Joe like me expect to be able to throw? 50 MPH? 60? I haven't tried it yet, and I'd be happy to tell you how well I did, but I would like some feedback first on how fast a non-athlete can be expected to throw...

Also, are these types of balls even accurate?

I am a 26 year old male6-3 200 lbs. I was at a joliet jackhammers game a couple years back and thay had the MPH tent set up so i gave it a try. i threw 3 pitches at an average speed of 82 mph. now if you were a pro try throwing 82 mph,100 pitches a game, 5 times a month. there is a reason why these pitchers make so much money because i felt like i threw out my arm on those 3 pitches alone.

I am in decent shape and was clocked some years ago at a baseball exhibition at 40 MPH. My brother, an athlete very much in shape, although not a baseball player, approached 50 MPH. Now I can really appreciate the ability of major league pitchers. By the way, most major league pitchers are clocked in the 70s (change-ups) and 80s (fastballs), with only a few consistently pitching in the 90s.

I am not here to put my stats on here, I played baseball all the way into college, and now I coach high school... I would say 70 mph for you would be average... I dont know how accurate those balls are though... have fun with it

First thing don't go out and try to throw as hard as you can before warming up first.Second those balls are junk, not very accurate.Thirdly,If you can get it in the 60's your doing well

With practice you depending on age and shape could expect 55-70. Not sure if accurate, but have fun.
