Accept your punishment. I lost my license at that age for 2 speeding tickets. Going a short time without it from your folks is MUCH BETTER than loosing it for 6-months to a year, like I did.

I suggest you look at this as a life lesson. Your parents LOVE you and they don't want you to kill yourself by driving like an idiot.
Frankly, if you were my kid you'd be grounded til you were 21 or til you moved out, whichever would be sooner. You don't even fully have the right to drive as an adult and you're speeding? Wake up. Speed limits are there for a reason, and frankly, your excuse for speeding is pretty lame.
I think you should take this lesson to heart, do whatever it is your parents want you to do AND obey all traffic laws in the future.
Speed limits are not just about at what speed you can control the car when you're in a hurry. Are there kids that could suddenly run in front of your car, is there cross traffic, curves, is the road banked correctly, is it a grade, all of these things, plus weather, factor into safe driving speeds. And even driving within the speed limit, how much time do you need to react when some other idiot screws up and is about to involve you in their accident?

You should be thankful that your parents care enough about you to pay attention to what you do, and you should be thankful that all you got was a speeding ticket. You could have had a VERY bad accident going 20 mph over the speed limit, or you could have hit a child or a pedestrian. You need to realize that what you did was very serious, and if it takes time without wheels to teach you that, then hooray for your parents. They don't want to visit you in jail, and they don't want to bury you, so take the bus for now, and when you do get your license back, be more responsible-- the rest of us share the road with you, and we don't want to die from your stupidity either.
PS: ask your parents how much their insurance is going to go up because of your ticket, and find a way to pay them for it. Good Luck!!

Well let's see first of all your parents are your boss. If they think you deserve to get your speeding ticket knocked down to a non-speeding violation by hiring an attorney (which I'd strongly recommend). Considering what will happen to your family's insurance rate. These rates usually hang around your necks for up to 4 yrs. That's if if you drive with a spotless record this day forward. As long as you live in their house and have privileges to their car you will be a money drainer when their car insurance policy come due. As soon as you're out of their house, on your own and able to support your self, pay all your personal bills including your own car insurance their rates drop back down. Some how I don't think that's going to happen any time spoon. You are at your parents mercy. If you want to drive you should subsidize your transgressions by paying the added rates!

1st, stop your whining, and show how responsible you can be by taking the punishment. My guess is that your insurance policy and car are threw them. So don't get them mad--even though you may get your permanent license--you may have nothing to drive. Keep up on the speeding tickets and they may have to take you off their policy --and you may not be able to afford your own. Walking around with a drivers license --is still just walking. A and C

A) you have proven that you are not yet responsible to be allowed to drive. Until you can prove that you are mature enough to be trusted with a deadly weapon (which is what a recklessly driven vehicle is) you should not be driving. Use the time on the bus to reflect on your mistake, and when you are allowed to drive again, maybe you will be more careful!!
Be thankful that you have parents that care. They may seem to know nothing now, but the older you get the smarter they will get!!

Unfortunately you're gonna have to deal with the consequences of your actions. Don't drive until you get your license in May and let your mom pick you up from school. Sucks but it could have been worse. I don't mean to sound condescending, but you don't have enough driving experience under your belt to be speeding, regardless of your reasons. That's a 2000 lb weapon you're operating! See if your parents will allow you to drive with them in the car until May so you can at least keep up your driving skills and practice under their supervision. They'll probably be okay with that.

speeding can kill you and worse, it can kill a whole family of people that you don't even know and leave you alive in the end of it all to deal with the guilt (this exact thing happened when someone was speeding, lost control, and took out the a minivan...inside were: dad, mom, older brother, middle sister, and twin baby girls. the only ones who survived was one of the babies and the driver who was speeding). Your parents know that you aren't ready for your licence yet because your irresponsibility of speeding is harmful to more than just you and your insurance costs. Stick with other means of transportation for a while and always remember that getting home in a hurry is never worth a lost life.

Lick your wounds, take the bus to school. Learn your lesson.
Your parents had EVERY RIGHT to pull your license for your foolish and dangerous driving.
DO NOT DRIVE, DO NOT BEG, DO NOT DRIVE
Okay, you do the crime, you do the time.
Take the bus. Wait. Wait. You'll be a better man for waiting.

why don't you just GROW UP!!!! you got to school before you had a license. If I were your parent, I would do the same, except I would want to see a huge change in your attitude, because if you don't get serious with your driving, you are going to get to see a lot more cops if your lucky, and a morgue if your not. Your parents are trying to prevent this!!!!
